The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of goals for sustainable development between 2015-2030. Adopted by the United Nations in September 2015, the SDGs consist of 17 broad objectives with 169 underlying targets. The SDGs apply to all countries and place responsibility on governments and non-profit organisations as well as the private sector. At DoubleDividend we believe that we as investors also bear responsibility for the realisation of the SDGs.
Furthermore we are convinced that capital has a guiding role and can therefore have an important positive impact on the realisation of the SDGs. The SDGs are therefore fully integrated into DoubleDividend’s sustainability policy. For each individual SDG there are multiple investments within the portfolios that make a positive contribution to each specific goal.
